Cadiz is the oldest city in Europe. The Catedral Nueva, New Cathedral is one of the largest in Spain. Composer Manuel de Falla (1876 - 1946) lies eternally in the crypt of this unique structure.

We climbed the tower that you see to right in the big cathedral photo. There were few stairs, just a long spiraling incline with occasional window passages to let in some light.

But once on top the view was marvelous!

These photos are scanned, from back before I had a digital camera. I love walking through European villages. The cobblestone streets that are really thin and all jumbled together. The ornate little enclaves and unique open squares . . .
